With over 40 years of experience in the custom home building and mortgage brokerage industry, I have had a diverse and eventful journey that has shaped my perspective and passions. Although I initially retired in 2009 due to the economic crash, I quickly found a new calling in the form of entrepreneurship.
Recognizing the need for effective networking and strategic partnerships, I founded Professional Alliance Board (PAB), a networking company that acted as a trusted Board of Directors for businesses. Through PAB, I had the opportunity to support numerous companies and foster their growth and success.
Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, I ventured into the synthetic marijuana business known as K2. This endeavor proved to be highly lucrative, and I successfully manufactured and distributed K2, generating substantial profits along the way. This experience taught me valuable lessons about the intricacies of the business world and further fueled my drive for success.
Seeking to explore my passion for music, I subsequently established Daddy Real Entertainment, a comprehensive music business encompassing a recording studio, record label, nightclubs, limo service, and high-profile concerts. I had the privilege of working with renowned artists such as Johnny Rivers, 38 Special, Kentucky Headhunters, Temptations, Sammy Sadler, Coach Bob Knight, and many more, creating unforgettable experiences for music enthusiasts.
However, my journey took an unexpected turn in 2014 when I faced legal charges related to manufacturing a controlled substance. As a consequence, I was sentenced to four years in a prison camp. This period of confinement became a transformative time for me, leading me down a path of self-reflection and personal growth.
During my incarceration, I channeled my thoughts, experiences, and insights into the written word, authoring two books that delve into the realities of the justice system. These books, titled "Guilty Til' Proven Innocent" and "Brilliant Minds in Captivity," shed light on the flaws within the system and the need for prison, sentencing, and justice reform. Today, I proudly advocate for the rights of those facing the justice system and strive to make a positive impact on their lives.
Beyond my advocacy work, I am deeply committed to giving back to the community. I actively contribute to organizations such as rescuesuccess.org and cars4heroes.org, which are dedicated to supporting individuals in need and making a difference in their lives.
My diverse journey, encompassing entrepreneurship, legal challenges, writing, and advocacy, has shaped me into a multifaceted individual with a unique perspective. I am driven by a strong desire to effect change and create a more equitable and just society for all.
“Brilliant Minds in Captivity” is the continuing from the book “Guilty Til' Proven Innocent” which is a book about my life growing up and becoming a Custom Home Builder, Mortgage Broker an entrepreneur manufacturing synthetic marijuana called K2, everything was legal, and I was making millions. I started a recording studio, record label, two-night clubs, limo service, and concert promotions. I was hobnobbing with celebrities and living a wonderful life. Then an encounter with the DEA stating I had a banned chemical in my products, but I never even heard of that chemical, it did not matter they will get you after they investigate you. Their lies, and scare tactics work. They coerce and threaten you into a plea deal. They took two and a half million dollars from me and sentenced me to 48 months in a prison camp. After two-and-a-half years warehoused in the camp and a slave working to keep the prison up next door I was released to home confinement early because of the Coronavirus and now here I am at home living with an ankle bracelet, writing my stories.
